KEBUDAYAAN & HOME ISLAND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE TOUR
The Cocos Islands Tourism Association and Cocos Islands District High School host Cultural Tours of Home Island every Wednesday. Limited places are available so please book early.

MORNING TOUR:
Be part of the Award Winning “Tour Kebudayaan Kokos”. Observe and learn about Home Island, its unique history and traditions hosted by the school children. Participants will need to catch the 11.30am ferry to Home Island and return to West Island at 2.30pm. Bookings can be made through the Home Island School on: +61 8 91627592. This tour is free.

AFTERNOON TOUR:
HOME ISLAND CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
: Cultural workshops with the community elders with activities varying each week along with sightseeing of locations on Home Island. Catch the 3.00pm ferry to Home Island, stay for dinner and return on the 8.00pm to West Island
COST:
$20.00 per adult
$10.00 per child 5-12 years

Welcome to Home Island Tour
Join us on our guided walking and buggy tours, and enjoy a relaxed, informative and fun tour of Home Island.
We'll guide you to historical sites, through the cultural museum, as well as share in the art of coconut husking, basket weaving and learn about traditional food
preserving techniques.

* Guided walking and buggy tour through the kampong with an experienced Cocos Malay Guide.
* Buggy tour around Home Island.

WEST ISLAND ORIENTATION TOUR
The 2-hour tour operates weekly and provides an introduction to West Island's places of interest and the history of the Cocos Islands. Tour cost is AUD $20.00 per adult, children below 16yrs free. Bookings are essential at the CKI Tourism Visitor's Centre.

THE BIG BARGE ART CENTRE
The gallery showcases a range of original local artworks for sale and commission. Artworks for sale include photo canvases, photo prints, paintings, button jewellery, mixed media greenfish, funky sweetlip stretched textile canvases and a limited locally handcrafted timber surfboard.

The unique gift selection now includes embroided button and ribbon bags, beaded and woven purses, colourful wooden beaded jewelery, silver and semi precious stone jewellery, batik tablecloths and cushion covers. Silver gecko brooches and pewter geckos. Also Big Barge Art Centre T-Shirts in stock.

PULU KEELING NATIONAL PARK
Experience the remoteness of Pulu Keeling National Park and its amazing seabird rookery and pristine vegetation. This is Australia's newest and smallest national park. Entry to the Park is with a licensed tour operator only and numbers are strictly limited in order to minimise impact on the birds.
